Pastoral Table - Summer
We are also delighted to announce the next Pastoral Table on 27th June.
These evenings have quietly become some of our favourite nights of the year. Adam cooks a one-off seasonal menu, Will hosts the evening and Willie Lebus raids his private cellar and talks guests through the wines in the wonderfully entertaining way only Willie can.
They are generous, convivial evenings with exceptional bottles, long conversations and a slow drift from drinks in the evening sunshine into supper inside the pub.
This summer’s menu leans into the coast, hedgerows and summer produce, with hand-dived scallops, lamb, wild strawberries and elderflower all making an appearance in one form or another, alongside a line-up of wines that includes mature Chablis, beautiful Beaujolais and a quietly brilliant Sauternes to finish.
